Pinging a Regular Html Website

When it comes to "pinging," many people get confused about whether they can ping a site like Pingomatic or Pingoat if they have a regular html (non blog) website.

With WordPress blogs and Blogger blogs - which come with a built in feed - it's easy to ping these sites. Pingomatic and Pingoat notify a variety of blogging services that you've made an update to your site. Each time you ping, the search engine spiders come zipping around to index any updates you've made.

Pinging is a great way to get your blog noticed by the search engines and bring in traffic, fast.

But if you have a regular html website without a blog, did you know that you can add a simple one page feed in just a few minutes and harness all the amazing benefits of blog and ping?

I teach you how in a special new package I've created called:

Feedify Your Site: How to Create a Simple, Homemade Feed for Your Static Html Website and Get Fast Indexing and Pinging Power.

Check it out at my site:

Easy Ways to Recession Proof Your Online Business

It's not hard to shift gears with your business so you can build profits during a recession. It just requires thinking about your business in a bit of a new way.

For instance, this is a great time to move into what I call "evergreen markets." These are those broad niches like weight loss, dating, trading, and so forth - niches that never go out of style. They will all continue to perform well, recession or no recession.

You need to be in some of these broad niches, I feel, in order to continue to have great profits from your online businesses.

I've outlined some simple steps you can take to recesssion proof your online business here:

Don't Run Your Affiliate Program Like This

Sometimes smaller companies don't understand how to run a private affiliate program. They can drop the ball by not responding to emails, making it difficult for affiliates to be paid, or acting like their affiliates are competition instead of supporters of their business.

I dealt with one nightmare vendor recently and you won't believe the things that this company did. I was a huge supporter and fan of their products and had written wonderful reviews about them and even devoted a whole site to reviews for their product.

Learn my sad story in this entry about how not to run an affiliate program:

The Money is in the List - Bull Patooties!

"The money is in the list."

Well, um, actually - sometimes it's a great idea to build a list, and sometimes it's a big, fat, frickin' waste of time.

There's this big mantra that travels around Internet marketing circles that says that "the money is in the list." Newbies are told every day that they can't make any money on line if they don't incorporate a newsletter and list building into their websites.

Bull patooties!

No, better yet - big, fat, stinking, smelly bull patooties.

Read the gritty details about why the money isn't always in the list and how you don't have to have a newsletter for your sites in order to make nice money online:

Sometimes Internet Marketing is a Lot Like Plumbing

There are a lot of fun, creative things that go into Internet marketing. You get to design sites, play around with color and images, create articles or eBooks or reviews, and most importantly - count the cash!

But there's a certain amount of maintenance required, too.

Last week it seemed like I spent most of my time doing "plumbing" - you know, rooting around and fixing problems on my various sites.

From time to time in my main Internet Marketing Badger blog I'll be sharing "day in the life" pieces where I talk about some of my daily activities as an Internet marketer. I just created a new audio for you doing into some details about what I did last week on my various sites.

Check out the audio here:
